As my 5 year old niece stated, today is Christmas Eve Eve Eve. She has the exciteability of a pack of laughing hyenas after consumption of barrels of jones soda --- (nice hyenas, not those portrayed as meanies on The Lion King). i love her so much for this. She inspires me everyday to see the bright side of things, and get excited about just living. She is looking forward to Christmas with every inch of her body. The Christmas spirit is not right without the belief of a young child.
Yesterday my 5 year old nephew called to say he got his YELLOW belt in Karate. This little boy has an imagination far beyond my own (and one i am definitely envious of). One time, we played imaginary starwars at my grandma's house for a solid hour and a half. He saved my life multiple times from evil villains. I am extremely grateful for his small act of service, for not only does he save me from the 'monsters', he teaches me to see those things that aren't 'real', and make my own fun. It inspires me to look past the mundane things in life, and see the imaginary fun things, just for small glimpses. Playing with a child is one of the best things in life, for the mind of a child is inspiring.
How could i not post both these two squeekers on my blog?
i am one proud aunt.
